On Friday 2nd November, St John's had a visit from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service! John from the team spoke to all of the children about Fire Safety and Reception and Year 2 had dedicated workshops linking to their topics, 'The Great Fire of London' and 'People Who Help Us'. The children learnt all about what to do to reduce the risk of fire and what do to in an emergency, they put words and actions together and rehearsed: Get Out - Stay Out - Call 999!

The Dolphins and Elephants also had the opportunity to explore a working Fire Engine and even practise using the fire hose (with guidance from a friendly fireman of course!). We thank John and the team for providing us with a memorable experience and giving us information about the important things we can do to keep us safe in the event of a fire.
