Dolphins and Giraffes have visited Wimborne Library this week. Giraffes met Mike Brownlow, the author and illustrator of the ‘Ten little …’ series. Dolphins met the award winning author and illustrator Louise Yates. The children were able to find out about the authors and what inspired them, listen to them read, watch them draw and then complete some drawings themselves. Louise is the author of the fabulous ‘Dog loves…’ series which has been featured on CBeebies. At the end of the session, Matilda asked Louise to sign our class copy of the book ‘Dog loves reading’. The children had a brilliant time! Gabriel (Y2) said, “I liked that she taught us how to do illustrations like in her books.” Ivy (Y2) added, “I loved hearing her stories because they are very interesting.” A big thank you to our parent helpers who volunteered their time to enable these trips to take place.
