British Science Week 2020
St John's enjoyed a wonderful week celebrating British Science Week 2020. Following this years theme, 'Our Diverse Planet' children in all year groups took part in a series of exciting science activities. The practical, hands-on activities created by the British Science Association engaged our children in a fun and stimulating way and got everyone excited about science! The activities delivered covered a variety of topics including: properties of materials, biodiversity, plants and mini beasts.
We were also extremely lucky to have a visit from the Science Dome. The Science Dome is designed to explore science, geology and geography in an interactive way. The fully-digital, mobile planetarium was set up in our school hall for the day. All classes had the opportunity to visit the dome and go on an incredible journey on Earth and beyond!
